My Repair & Advice
After I diagnosed the problem, I visited the AppliancePartsPros' website. I clicked on a few links, entered some numbers, and...voila...there was the part I needed & its price! Being a frugal shopper, I did some comparison shopping on competitors' websites & within my local community. Ultimately, AppliancePartsPros' price was lower (shipping included) so I placed the order. Even though I requested standard shipping, the part was on my doorstep within 24 hours! Super!
Ok, to fix the washer, it was simply a matter of disconnecting the power cord from the wall socked, removing 4 screws, unscrewing the pull-knob, unplugging the defective part & plugging in the new timer, replacing the pull-knob, replacing the 4 screws, plug the power cord back in, & turn it on. It now works like it's brand new.
For any future needs, I will return to AppliancePartsPros because you guys & gals are pros!
