The machine filled and operated on the heavy wash cycle agitating until the time got to "6". It stopped. when I move the timer forward nothing happens til I get it to another agitate function. I restarted the full washer on the next wash function (don't remember what it is) It operated agitating to some point and stops. It does not move forward after that. I cannot find a place where it will pump. Sometimes I hear the timer ticking but not usually as I have redone the process. Is this a bad timer? thanks

I have been trying to replace a Whirlpool Washer Timer part# 3951702E for my mom. Have not been able to find the exact number anywhere. Find plenty without the letter at the end. My question is are they one in the same. Does a 3951702 work in place of a 3951702E or 3951702G. They certainly look identicle but don`t want to purchase they wrong part. Please advise. Thanks Bill

Bill for Model Number could not find it anywhere, do have part number though

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washing machine. It fills up with water, starts to run until soon after where the 9 is on the regular load. Then it will just stop running. Could the timer be bad or is it something else?

Hi... Washer runs normal til gets to spin cycle then I hear an electrical "hum" that sounds like coming from timer area and will get a burning smell then everything goes dead like a thermal overload has tripped. Cannot restart no matter where turn timer to and it's not the lid switch. After cooling off for 1/2hr or so, when pull out the switch, the washer will continue as normal and spin and drain. I'd replace the timer pt# 2608740 but most forums say it rarely fails and should look elsewhere. Any thoughts on narrowing down the cause of the issue? Thanx

Hi, My washer is stuck in the wash cycle. I turn it to spin, or rinse, and it will not do either. It just goes back to the wash cycle. I cannot get the water to drain either. HELP!
