I have a roper heavy duty super capacity plus washer. It works fine until it comes to rinse, then it just stops. Won't fill or anything.

I purchased a "new" timer part number 3953146. I received a timer labeled with part number 3953146B. The part I removed was 3953146. The "new" part is not working. I obtained a used timer also with part number 3953146 and it is working. I did also first replace the lid switch, part number 3949247. Is there any reason the part ending in B would not work? Does the B signify something different? I thought the B was just that the part was enhanced since the original manufactures' design. I was told by the seller that the B was just a production code number implying it would make no difference. I just want to know does the B make a difference or is it more likely that the part is defective.

This washer fills with water and will not agitate or spin. When I pull on button all I hear is humming. I tried lid switch bypass and did same thing, Could be timer or motor? What do you think? Thank You for your time Curt

My washer is stopping after immediately after the wash cycle. The timer just stops and doesn't continue to move. Do I need a new timer, or could it be something else?

After a power outage, my washer has no power to it. The wall outlet has power, the machine does not hum, attempt to fill or anything. Can you tell me if this is a timer issue or should I be looking elsewhere?
