Does this Timer also come with the Resistor, or is it separate??

My older Kenmore dryer won't shut off. The timer works perfectly (heats and cycles) except when it get's very close to shutting off, it won't move any farther. The dryer keeps running in the cool down cycle until I turn it off manually. I tried a new timer and it did the same exact thing. I installed a new timer # 696876 and a new cycling thermostat. What next? Thanks

Hi. My dryer was in a state where the drum/fan motor would not run and the heater would stay on full blast whenever the timer was on. I changed the thermal fuse and now the motor works. However, the heater does not turn off in response to the door switch or anything else so long as time remains on the timer. The heater will only turn off if I put the timer in an off position. I checked the thermal cut fuse and that seemed fine. Could the problem be the timer unit?
