Where can I find my model number?

When timer is set and the start button is pressed; the dryer doesn't start. I can hear the timer ticking. I suspect the timer has gone bad and will test it tonight. Any other suggestions?

Answer Steve, You will want to test the door switch to make sure that it is good. With door closed you should have continuity. If not then the door switch would need to be replaced. Also check the thermal fuse on the blower housing for continuity. No continuity means that it is bad.

Dryer turns on and spins but heat does not kick on. Check coils and they are good. Is thus a timer problem?

Answer Donny, You will want to check for continuity on the heater housing for continuity. The thermal fuse 3392519 should have continuity and if it does not then it would need to be replaced.

My dryer only came on in wrinkle shield mode. I looked at wiring diagram and discovered I could bypass timer by removing plastic connector on right side and shorting the two wires in the connector with another wire. This made my dryer work fine but I do not know if it proves timer is bad. I am not sure if timer is supposed to receive another signal to activate connection other than the dial.
