This is an LP-gas dryer. Have an issue with clothes NOT drying. Seems as though when I turn timer to LEFT for automatic drying--there is no "timer ticking"--and the dryer will just keep running without hearing the igniter kick-in. When I turn timer to the RIGHT--for TIMED drying, I do hear the "timer ticking" as well as the igniter coming on. Does this validate that I have a problem with the TIMER?

We normally use automatic dry mode on and noticed that it doesn't move past less dry. Clothes are dry but it keeps running. Tried timed drying with no issues. Without it running I can turn dial in timed drying and fluff air but in auto dry I have resistance when I turn it to between energy preferred and less dry. I cleaned out dryer venting. Seems and feels like it is the timer. Also read it could be cycling thermostat or dryer ignition coils or thermal fuse. I would like to order the correct part or parts. If you can please steer me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated. Any other info needed please let me know and thanks.

We always use the energy preferred mode which turns the dryer off when the clothes are dry. The dryer has stopped shutting off automatically. At some point the heat shuts off, but it will continue to spin forever. Is this caused by a bad timer?

Latest Questions

The Dryer will turn on and run but will only heat on very dry cycle but does not get real hot. Then will just stay there and will not move (dial) that is. there is no other mode that the heat will come on. Is my timer bad? If I move the timer in wrinkle mode by hand the timer will work its way to the off mode.

When timer is set and the start button is pressed; the dryer doesn't start. I can hear the timer ticking. I suspect the timer has gone bad and will test it tonight. Any other suggestions?

Dryer turns on and spins but heat does not kick on. Check coils and they are good. Is thus a timer problem?
