Answer Mike, We don't quite understand the question, But, anything is possible. Most A/C timer motors are not polarity sensitive, and will run in one direction only, regardless of the wiring connections. If the timer is running backwards, you'll need to check the wiring connections at the timer terminals, and replece the timer if alls OK.

Answer Hi Judy. One way to tell is to make sure that it is not running on Auto-Dry. The timer is the command center of the power distribution to each circuit. It is first in line after the door switch, since you said it is running and heating then the timer part # 8299779 will be the next in line to get the power surge and open the timer motor winds / contacts from turning. Answer Hello Andy. It sounds like a wiring issue in the dryer. Check all the wiring for loose, burnt, or broken wires. If all is good, and the motor and heater work properly, replace the timer 8299779. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Steven. You will need to test and see if the thermal fuse 3392519 is bad in the unit. It should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, the dryer will not start. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
