Dishwasher does not completely drain after a complete cycle. Could it be a Check Valve ?

Answer Mike, You will want to check for clogs first but yes the check valve could be defective and need to be replaced.

Dishwasher works good, the last couople of weeks it will not drain or complete the dry cycle water will sit at the bottom. but if you restart the dishwaser over it will not over flow it will drain but when it comes to the last cycle that is the dry cyle it just stops an wont complete it. Do you think it is the timer?

Answer Hello Steve. I would check and make sure the pump is not clogged and see if there is power coming to the pump during the end of the cycle. If so, you may need to replace the pump or remove and clogs in the pump or hoses. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Wash, drain, and rinse cycles work proper. Will not dry dishes. I performed an ohm check on the heating element with it disconnected and checked out fine. There were no cracks, burns, or bulging on the element. I bypassed the thermal fuse and checked voltage at the element in the dry cycle and had none. I'm suspecting timer or open to other suggestions.

Dishwasher won't clean well at all. Found water would not fill bottom of dishwasher. Noticed it would fill for about 30-40 seconds and then the pump would kick on and try to clean. I don't know if the inlet valve is just not flowing enough water to fill it or is the timer going too quickly and not allowing it to fill?

Answer Hello Todd. It sounds like the water valve 8283345 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the valve is coming on, the water flow should be good and strong. Check and make sure the float is not stuck. If it is moving freely, you will need to replace the water valve. Hope this helps.
