Machine fills with water but does not through the cycles.
Answer Hello Willard,
You will want to do a continuity test on the lid switch 8318084. With lid closed there should be continuity. If there is no continuity then the switch is bad and needs to be replaced.
Washer starts washing. You lift lid up,washer stop. Close lid washer does not start up again, only a low buzzing sound from the timer can be heard.
Answer Hello Francis. Check and make sure the lid switch is good on the unit. If not, replace the lid switch assembly. If it is good, see if there is power going to the motor on the unit. If there is power going to the motor and the motor does not run, replace the motor. If there is no power to the motor, and the timer is humming, you will need to replace the timer 8572976 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Machine fills with water but does not advance through the cycles.
Answer Hello Stan. You will need to check and make sure the lid switch 8318084 is not bad on the unit and it is working properly on the unit. If not, it will cause the unit not to agitate or spin out properly and the timer will not advance.
