In response to: First, allow the washer to fill and wash on a short small cycle, make sure the washer drains and spins, then stops and fill. -When you say 'make sure the washer drains and spins', don't you think I wish I could make that happen ? I just did a small load as you suggested. The cycles on the dial read SHORT / RINSE / SPIN. The dial & cycle stopped at about 1/4 before the word Rinse. Now the clothes are sitting in a tub of soapy water. I have a dot marked on the dial where everytime it has stopped, and this is the only time it stopped before the word rinse. The others were between Rinse and Spin.
