The washer will fill with water. When done filling, it will not agitate or spin. The only thing it does is that it makes a buzzing sound. Sounds like it is coming from the dial where you select cycles. Would that be a bad timer?

You will want to check the lid switch to make sure that it is good. When checking the lid switch you will want to check for continuity. With the lid closed the switch should have continuity. If it does not then the lid switch 8318084 is faulty and needs to be replaced.
