I am hooking up a Replacement Thermostat on my Magic Chef Refrigerator. The original timer has the following configuration: Terminal 3 Blue (Defrost Thermostat), Terminal 4 Orange (Freezer Fan), Terminal 1 White (Neutral (?), and Terminal 2 Yellow (Heater). Can I just plug in the existing wiring harness connector or do I need to rearrange the wiring to accommodate the new timer. I also have an extra wire coming from the timer. Where does that go.

I just bought a defrost timer part # 4391974. The refridgerator has a four pronged plug: white wire from prong # 3 to neutral, orange wire from prong # 4 to the freezer fan, blue wire from prong # 1 to the temperature control, yellow wire from prong # 2 to the defrost heater. Can I just use the four prong plug without the jumper wires? If not, how do I hook them up and how do they attach to the time and/or plug? I don't really understand the instructions. Any help you may offer will be greatly appreciated.

hi Is the defrost timer on this model continuous(terminal1) or cumulative(terminal 2) The wiring diagram I have looks like the timer is energised when the thermostat makes. Im not sure if that means continuous or not. Thanks for any help, James
