Dial to start dryer doesn't start dryer when it is pulled. After turning it several times, tilting, etc., eventually we can get it to "catch". What part(s) do we need to order to repair this? Serial number24796255GE

The timer dial turns, but when I pull it out to start the dryer it doesn't always start. I need to pull at an angle or jiggle it to get it to start. Which part for the dial do I need to replace?

Went to your web found part (timer), ordered it and received same, watched video on how to remove timer knob. Opened machine timer in machine and timer received are the same. However timer shown in video appears different. Tried to remove timer knob as shown and just tried pure force, it will not come off. I am afraid of breaking something. I have held the short shaft at rear of timer to no avail ( I see nothing that this would do except preventing someone form pulling shaft out of timer)!

The knob on the dryer is not advancing during the dry cycle. It stays in one place and the dryer needs to be manually shut off. Is there an easy fix for this without replacing parts?
