Answer Hello Greg. You need to order the knob skirt. 33001621 for the D shaft hole.

Answer Hello Shady! I believe your model should read MDG9316AWA (D and G reversed). The timer knob is part number 22001659 this has a circle shaft to install on the circle shaft on the timer. The D shaft knob I believe you are looking for is the selector switch, part number 22002589. You may click on the part number to view the pictures available. Thanks!

Answer Hello Jenny. Pull the knob off the timer shaft. Then unsnap the center out of the timer knob 22001659. Once the center cap is removed, you can unsnap the timer knob from the timer skirt. Hope this helps.

Answer Dave, once the timer cap 22001664 is removed (you can gently pry this off with a small screw driver) the timer knob 22001659 should pull off. Hope this helps!
