Hi: My cycle control knob works except for the rinse part. Machine goes thru entire cycle until it gets to Rinse then it shuts down & I hear a loud buzzing. Would it be difficult & expensive to replace the entire Cycle control Knob? Thank You, j. junso I don't have the parts # for a replacement.
Answer Jacque, At this point, you want to remove and check the cold water supply faucet, cold water fill hose screened washer and cold water valve debris screen and the water inlet valve 285805. When a washer stops and makes a buzzing noise at the rinse cycle, it's usually due to no cold water to the washer or inoperative fill valve, not the timer 3946451 or timer knob.
How hard is it to replace the cycle control knob on washer?
The cycle control knob is a screw on type of knob. You may need to get ahold of the shaft of the timer and turn the timer knob counter clockwise.
