Purchased new timer from AP. Trying to remove the knob. Looks like 2 squeeze points but knob won't release. Any suggestions or should I buy a new knob assembly?
Answer Reggie, To remove the timer knob, you will need to access the back side of the timer 21002199. Using a small flat blade screwdriver, you'll need to insert the blade ito the empty portion of the "D" shaped opening of the timer shaft and pry out on the green colored shaft. approximately 3/8" and pull the knob off the front shaft at the same time. Reverse the procedure when you reinstall the new timer. You shouldn't need a new timer knob, unless it got damaged accidentally.
