Dryer has power through door switch up to start button. Motor will not start and timer sounds different. Am I looking at replacing the timer?
You will want to check the motor to see if the motor is getting power to it. If there is no power to the motor then you would want to check the thermal fuse on the blower housing. If this checks ok then the issue would most likely be the timer. If the thermal fuse is bad then replace and if the motor is getting power then the motor would be the issue.
Maytag Dryer- will dry for a few mintues then continues to run but not hot, regardless of what setting I use.
Answer Hello Melissa. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the coils 279834 are bad and will need to be replaced.
