Dryer wont heat up. Checked coil and limit thermostat. Checked okay. The only need to check motor switch to turn on heater (220vac).
Answer Hello Jaime,
The components in the heating circuit are the timer W10185982, the thermal cutoff 279816, the operating thermostat 3387134, the high limit thermostat 279816, the heating element 279838, and the centrifugal switch in the motor 279827. If the unit is not heating, it will be one of these components.
What panels need to be removed to replace the door switch and how is the switch attached ?
Answer Hi Jerry. Remove the lint tray and the 2 screws under it. Then use a putty knife to push in on the front panel top clips. Under the front of the top panel, approx. 3" in from the corners are clips needing to be released as you lift up on one side at a time. Then support the top assy. Open the door and remove the 2 screws in the upper lt. corner to dismount the switch. Then use a small screwdriver or careful w/ a pick tool to unclasp the switch molex connector. Part # 3406105. Thank You.
