When I turn on one top burner to light, all four ignitors start firing, once the burner lights, three ignitors continue to fire. Any suggestions?
Answer Hello Phil,
All four sparking are normal. If the ignitors continue to spark after the flame ignites, you need to check the ground to the surface of the unit. If the ground is good, the spark module may require replacement.
I need information on how to change the igniter on this exact model. It looks nothing like the one in the video. The igniter I purchased (3185804) looks like the correct part, but I really need to know how to change it without breaking anything.
To replace the igniter on this unit you will need to remove the grates burner heads and knobs. Lift unit from installation and remove the screws around the perimeter of the burner box that hold the main top in place. Lift the main top and you should be able to replace the igniters.
