I need to replace a valve in my oven. I understand this is the one I need for the right-front burner. My only question is, is there anything special needed (tools or parts) to make the non-threaded gas connection? (I assume here's a gas bar that the valve connects to on the top and then there's the threaded pressure fitting.)
Any additional docs or pointers would be helpful. Thanks!

Answer Brian, The part number for the Rt Frnt Burner valve is correct 9757218. Once you have discoonected the power and shut off the gas supply, removed all the grates, burner caps, and raised the cooktop, you'll see how the burner valve is secured and sealed to the manifold pipe by a screw and gasket 8273096. You shouldn't need any "special" tools to perform the repair, just the basic tools will get you through. We'll send you some basic Information, it may be helpful. Thanks
My burner knob fell off & broke from the rod that attaches it to the oven...I've been told I need a new burner valve...Is this correct? Also, how do I take off the top of the range to change it?

Answer Rachelle, First you need to know which burner valve you need : 8273004 is the right rear burner valve and 9757218 for the remaining three(3) burner valves. To replace the valve is a relatively easy procedure,Unplug the power cord, turn off the gas supply at the wall shut off. Remove the grates, burner caps and anything else on the cook top. You'll need to remove the two phillips head screws from each burner base, lift the burner base up and label and disconnect the wire from the igniter. Then raise the top and remove the manifold panel and gas valve. We're going to send you some more information. Good Luck and Thanks
