A repairman replaced the control panel for this oven. The ribbon that connects the control panel to the keypad panel did not have a plastic end on it to secure it when it was pushed in place to the connector on the keypad. I saw that it did have such a connector when he disconnected the bad panel. He had to open it from both ends because it snapped in place. When he returned with the new control panel, the connector was laying loose with the removed screws. He just pushed the ribbon in place and put the connector in the box with the old panel, to be returned for a core charge. I asked him if it was needed to hold the ribbon in place. He said that it did not because the part in which he inserted it in the new control panel was designed to hold it securely in place without the locking piece. Is this correct? Or could the ribbon work itself loose over time with continued oven operation and vibration.

I replaced both the Control Board and the Touch Panel and everything seems to work except when verifying the Cavity Size of the oven which shows ID 24. How do I change that to ID 27? BTW, the ribbon cable was the only faulty part (not the touch panel) Thanks for the help!
