I need a new lower rack (rust is causing rust on my dishes). Can I use the tower I currently have? If so, how do I detach/reattach?

Answer Hello Belinda! The lower rack for your model is part number W10311986. You can reuse the tower 304170. You should be able to unclip it from the old rack and clip it onto your old rack, it has two clip openings on the sides. Hope this helps!

Answer Hi Shah. Yes it is a very tight fit, but it does have clips on the underside of the tower that snap onto or into the lower rack tines. Try this, take the rack out, set it on the floor with the right side down. step on the side of the rack, grasp the tower below the the top , wiggle and turn the tower to the left(counterclockwise) 1/4 turn, and it should release. It is in pretty tight and will not budge.
