Is this item (tower spray) necessary for acceptable use of dishwasher?

Answer Hi Elizabeth.The spray tower part # 99003318 will inset into the center of the rack. You will hold it vertically and then you will use a slight twist to the right to snap it in place. You will want to first off-set it to the left slightly and then set it in. Thank You.
Despite the answer to the above question I am having trouble installing the tower. Can anyone tell me which corner to put in first? I tried hard to pay attention to how it came out but failed.
