Answer Hi Russ. The track stop part # 3379941 slides up into the track from the bottom of the track first so the "clip" on the back of the stop snaps in last holding itself in. So later you reach in with needle nose pliers to release it. The large rectangular end is the smooth end. It faces out towards the inner door. Thank You.

Answer Hello JoRo. The track stop 3379941 slides into the slots in the track, and the clips lock it into place. You will press the clips to release the old track stop. Hope this helps.
