Turned on to heat food and it made a loud pop,,everything still works but doesnt heat.
Answer Jerry Rc,
You will want to check the diode to make sure that it is not cracked or bad. Check to make sure that the capacitor is good. Also check your transformer to make sure that it does not have any burn marks on it.
Wife was cooking on the stove with the vent on when she put something in side when she heard a pop sound. Light and vent work but dont heat.
Answer Hello Kendall. You will need to test the thermostat W10598693 on the side of the magnetron and make sure it reads closed for continuity. If not, it will prevent the unit from heating. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
