While it was self-cleaning, the control panel went out, so I checked for power coming in and I noticed that I had power going into the transformer and nothing coming out. I have power at most of the control panel but doesn’t work nor light up. Do you think it’s the transformer or should I test for something else? Thank you

Answer Hello Dennis, If the transformer has voltage in and nothing out, it is more than probably bad. I would ohm it out with a resistance meter to be sure, but it sounds like it has failed.

I have a KitechenAid Superba dual oven. Control panel display died after a self heating excercise. I did some test and I see that the control power transformer (P/N 4451658) shows 120 coming in and less than a volt in each of the three secondaries. I pulled the transformer out and checked for continuity. The primary shows about 5 Ohms and the secondaries are continuity. My first instinct is to replace the transformer. I see that Part Number: AP3963951 is listed as replacement. But I could not see the specs of this transformer. What would be the relevant specs (Ohms and voltages. ) The current transformer is listed for 120 V in and 26V, 27V and 7.5V out. Tess

Answer Hello Tess. You will need to test the thermal fuse 4451042 at the control panel. If it is bad, it will cause the problems you are having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
