I ran a clean cycle on my Amana oven recently and this trim piece on the top actually melted, as did the bottoms of my stove controls. Will replacing this piece solve this issue - or do you think there is something bigger wrong with the latch, etc.

Answer MTCMC, There will still be other problems you will need to check and make sure the door hinges and front flange of the oven cavity are not bent or bowed, you should replace the oven door seal and S/C door latch as well 32057601, 32081801. You do have the corrct part number for the top door trim31946401B. Good Luck.
