Today the part you've suggested has arrived and it is not the ones I am looking. The Heat exchanger or capillary tube is a tiny little long tubing that goes from the drier (on the top) into the evaporator which located inside the frig. When Freon goes thru the tube, it will expand and make the evaporator cold. The tube should be at least 1 feet long at less than 1/16". The tube (about 1/8 in diameter) that I get looks exactly as shown in the pic. A rep from Supco who makes the cap tubing could sell to me ones providing I could provide to them the inside diameter of the tubing. With your experience in the industry and contacts, could you dig out about the part numer or providing to me the inside dia of the tubing. Thanks for helping. Still no fridge yet.

I've a Kitchen Aid frig that is failing and I couldn't locate the heat exchanger or Capillary Tube as my tech asks me to buy. I bought already the evaporator (and the heater-pan too) and thought it is included with it, but it is not. In the diagram 9 of the unit, there are items 13 and 8. Is it the ones ? If not, where it is located ? Please help !!! I've bought for the last month the compressor, inverter, control, evaporator and heater-pan !!! The frig is not cooling with the new installed compressor with new inverter, control. Now our tech think that it is the heat exchanger...
