Hi my machine is making a screechy sound, and it does not spin. What can it be. I have checked the water pump and found a wire in there I took it out, the noise is still there.
Answer Maria, The majority of noise and no spin issues on a "direct drive" washer are due to a "slipping" clutch 285785. You should view the attached video to the parts diagram, it'll give you a better idea of what's involved in the repair / replacement of the clutch assembly
My washer does it all, but when it gets to spin cycle it spins for a min than stops and a few min later starts up again than back off. At the end of the cycle the clothes are still wet. What is really going on?
Answer Hello Jess. You will need to check and see if the drive block 389140 is bad on the unit. If not, replace the clutch assembly 285785 in the unit. Either one of these will cause the washer basket to spin, stop, spin, stop, but the motor continues to run all the way through the spin cycle. Hope this helps.
