All cycles work except the spin cycle. I've replaced the clutch. When you try to spin the inner barrel by hand it seems to stick and become very hard to turn. Would this be the brake pads or drive block? Thanks!

When the washer goes into the end of the spin cycle it starts to make a loud banging sound and stops. There is no water and the clothes seem to have been spun correctly. I already replaced the clutch assembly and cam agitator kit and it still is doing the same thing at the end of the spin cycle.

Our 20 year old Kitchenaid has never had any major repairs. During the spin cycle for a full load of jeans today the machine made a loud whining, screaming, squealing noise. Two more very light loads were run after this and the machine was quiet. What could cause this problem? Otherwise, the machine seems to run great. Is it worth repairing? And is there other Preventive maintenance work I should do if I chose to repair this problem? Thanks, Jim

My washer will agitate, but when the wash cycle is finished it will not go into the spin cycle. The washer just shuts off. What could the problem be?
