How do I replace part #w10213219 in model gi7fvcxwy00?
Answer Hello Judy,
Unplug the refrigerator and disconnect the end of the water line from the water valve. If this is a John Guess fitting you will push the ring around the water line against the water valve and hold it while pulling the water line out. Remove the fill tube from the back of the unit. You will have to remove the icemaker to install the fill tube if it has an extension on it. fit the new fill tube into the opening and re-attach the other end to the water valve. This is done by pushing the water line in until it bottoms, then pushing it harder. It will pop in another 1/4 inch. Now pull on the water line to seat the seal. Be sure to check for leaks before putting the unit back into operation.
Cant figure out how to replace Part Number: AP4455716 Manufacturer's Part Number: W10213219 on my fridge. Any suggestions?
To replace the water tube for the icemaker, there is a cover on the top of the refrigerator that would need to be removed to access the fill tube part. You would then have to remove the icemaker compartment and the ceiling of the refrigerator to access the water line part. On the front where the icemaker is there is a strip that you would use a flat blade to release clips that hold it in place. Be careful not to break the clips. Once the cover is off there is a screw that holds the housing of the icemaker in place. Remove the screw and pull the icemaker assembly out. There are 2 more screws on the right side of the refrigerator compartment that will need to be removed and remove the filter assembly. Once out there are clips on the side of the opening where you took out the screws to release the top. Lower and pull out the ceiling. This will expose the water valve where the water line for icemaker and water tank connect.
