When changing out the wash plate I noticed the boot on the U-joint is ripped, is that a problem? Will water get into something that should not be wet?
Can I just buy that boot?

Answer Hello Bill,
The boot is only available with the u-joint kit 285927. This is a part that has to be water tight as the wash water will wash the grease from the u-joint and it will self-destruct without lubrication.
