Trying to install upper wash arm (8193504). Very awkward with
long arm butting up against top of Dish Washer..Can upper part of long arm be easiily removed? If not can upper long arm be bent?
Hoping for improvement over hit & miss installation made with order # 2553561,of 5/1/2012, which lasted only untill now.
Thank You....Art Clayton
Answer Art, You'll want to remove the feed tube assembly 8268361 and check the attachment area for distortion and damage. " Removing the Inner Feed Tube and Lower Spray Arm The Inner Feed Tube is held in place by two (2) metal clips. One is located on the inner top
of the dishwasher tub. The second is located on the back of the dishwasher tub. Remove the two (2) dishracks from the dishwasher tub.
Unsnap the inner feed tube from the two (2) metal clips securing it to the dishwasher tub. Rotate the rear feed cap ¼ turn clockwise.
The entire inner water tube assembly and the lower spray arm assembly can now be removed from the dishwasher tub." You can then check and repair or replace the parts asa needed.
How do I remove the pins, so I can remove the top spray arm?
Answer Hello Michelle,
The plastic pin should snap out. If you can't get it out with your hands, try prying it out with a screwdriver or similar tool. In some cases it is easier to remove the pin with a set of diagonal cutters, but you do have to be very careful not to cut the pin.
