When connecting the lines back to the stove and the pilot lite line to the thermostat head, do you use teflon tape on the connections?
Robert for Model Number CPR1100ADW
Answer Hello Robert,
You don't put any Teflon tape on any compression fittings, but the connections that seal around the threads only have to have yellow Teflon tape or gas line thread compound on the threads. It is thicker and required to pass any inspections.

The oven will not light. Tried with a match, etc. It seems to not be getting gas. I also noticed that the ignigter and gas outlet are very charred/burned. Would this part be the problem? The top burners work fine. Thanks

Answer Hello Mike. You will need to make sure the orifices are clean on the unit. If not, that could be the issue. If you clean them, and the issue continues, you may need to replace the thermostat 74009917 in the unit.

Is it difficult is it to replace the oven burn pilot assembly part # AP4099368 on a magic chef oven model # CPR1100ADW
D Land for Model Number CPR1100ADW
Answer DLand, No, it's not a very difficult repair to make, as long as you have the proper tools (open end wrenches and or a small crescent wrench) and you need to be careful with the gas supply tubes, you don't want to twist, crack or break them. You also want to use two wrenches when tightening the fittings. and remember to turn the gas supply OFF at the wall connection, first. Thanks and Good Luck
