I have 2 water lines coming from my water valve. One goes to the ice maker which is still making ice and the other goes to the water dispenser. I disconnected the water line going from the valve to the dispenser and there was no water coming out of it when I engaged the dispenser. Does this mean that one section of the valve is bad?

Replacing the filter in my kitcheaid fridge, the fridge did not have a filter in it previously but water was being delivered to the water dispenser and ice maker presumably by water left in the lines. Water stopped flowing so I purchased some filtering from you, assuming that the water filter was necessary for fresh water to flow. After replacing the filter, the filter does seem to be getting water. I removed the filter and there is water in hit but no water at the dispenser, or ice maker Any suggestions would be appreciated.
