The water valve ( AP3890667) on my refrigerator is leaking (spraying is more accurate) when water runs thru. Both the water dispenser & ice maker are getting water. I assume the fix is to replace the valve. Anything else to check or replace other than that?

The water dispensor on our unit started dispensing water when ever the ice maker called for water. We still get ice from the ice maker, but about 3-4 oz of water comes out of the water dispensor everytime. The water dispensor still works fine on it's own. Is this a valve issue or is this an ice maker issue, if so what parts should I replace? Thanks.

I was wondering if the steel tubing inserts (part #4 in diagram) were an aftermarket enhancement or some sort of change. The original tubing did not have any sort of insert as the inserts are usually reserved for compression type nut and ferrule connectors when poly tubing is used. I also wondered if there was any sort of o-ring replacement or repair kit for the quick connect fitting itself. Although it is integrated into the valve body it seems as if the quick connect should be repairable.
