How do I replace water valve ap377545 .how check it bad valve.? Thank
Answer Hau, The easiest way to test a fill valve, is to disconnect the wires, place the meter leads from a multimter across the two wires and check for 120 VAC across the wires when the paddle is pressed. For the icemaker, you'd do the same procedure, and then start a ice maker test mode and check for voltage across the wires when the ice maker control reaches the fill increment. The access information you requested is on it's way. Thanks
I would like to replace the ice maker water inlet valve (your service department tells me this is P/N AP3775453). This is a built in refrigerator. Can you tell me where this is located and how significant a repair this is. Getting to back of refrigerator is more difficult than if this is located on door.
Answer Hello John,
The water inlet valve 2188786 on these units are usually located under the unit. The kick panel has to be removed and, unless the installer provided a water cut off in the water line, the water to the home will have to be turned off. It is also a good idea to turn off the power switch on top of the unit or flip the breaker off to it.
