We have a whirlpool bottom freezer and the tracks do not move smoothly and there is grease dropping often in the bottom of the freezer and on the floor when the freezer is opened.

My ice maker is not making ice. no water is pooring into the ice maker. It rotates the arm to eject the ice. You hear a click like it wants to bring water into the tray and nothing comes out. Do I need a new water valve and how do I get to it, if I do?

My Kitchen Aid freezer compartment has ice accumulating on the tracks making movement of my freezer door difficult, Temperatures are all correct, ice maker is rapid and plentiful but, there is excess water coming into freezer in both the tray of ice (making cubes stick together) and water freezing on tracks as well. I see no other source of water. I replaced the ice maker last year and all was well but upon using ice this year there is more water than needed even if I put the bar up to stop ice production. Please share your thoughts is it the water solenoid and is that an integral part of the ice maker as you diagrams indicates. I dont want to order the valve needlessly. THANK YOU JOE
