Answer Hello Becky. You may need to use needle nose pliers to remove the wires from the water valve [AP3178611. Pull on the plastic connectors and not the wires. They pull off.

Answer Hello Bob. The wiring connector pulls off the solenoid on the water valve 8531671. Hope this helps.
