could the water intake vavle be the cause of the dishwasher trying to start 4 or 5 times and then going to cancel/drain because it fails to start Jen for Model KUDS30IXBL1

Answer Jen, Yes a faulty or clogged water valve could create the issue as you described it. If the control board does not see a specific circuit from the float switch, within a specific time, the control will eventually cancel the cycle and shut itself off. Also check and make sure, there are no suds in the water after the dishwasher fills and starts to wash.
My dishes on the top rack do not get clean. I have removed the upper arm and flushed it out. It almost appears as though either the top rack is not aligning with tube on the back wall or there isnt enough water pressure. I would appreciate any help you can give. The unit is less then 2 years old.
Mark for Model Number kuds301xss1
Answer Hi Mark. Is the top wash arm spinning and the jets all clear as you cleaned the middle wash arm as well. Where the middle wash arm connects to the feed tube, is the lower flapper missing so the supply water is now falling back into the lower tub? It is common that the upper rack is either adjusted half up or down and the middle wash arm feed tube is not fully inserted into the feed tube part # W10077859.Also if there is a case of over soaping then this flapper will dry out, and break. If this is not the case then make sure the feed tube is connected properly down below to the top of the motor sump cover. Remove the lower wash arm and see if the internal filter is clogged. Remove all inner parts and use a shop vac to clean. This allows best pressure to flow throughout. Use dishwasher magic monthly part # TJ104 to insure proper performance levels of clean ability. Thank You

Answer Don, It's not a likely scenario, but it could happen. We'll send you some information, it'll help you to diagnose the probable issue. Your control has a self diagnosis program. Once that program is run, it will basically tell you what components to check or replace. Thanks
