Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDE60HXSS1
My Repair & Advice
Following some trouble shooting tips on Appliance Parts Pros and some other information, I determined it was very likely a bad water inlet valve.
Replacing the valve was a fairly simple and straight-forward repair. APP had good directions and instructions on this site. I also was able to review a video I found (on another site) that really showed how simple the repair was.
After turning off the power and water supply, and removing the lower cover on the dishwasher, it really was as simple as unscrewing the "water hose" type supply line, unscrewing two screws (which were right on the front of the bracket/frame), then removing the old valve, removing one hose clamp and hose, and unplugging it.
Replacing the new valve was just the reverse and very simple.
Checked for leaks prior to putting the cover back on.
Good trouble shooting advice from Appliance Parts Pros, great price, part was in-stock, and quick shipping!
Very pleased with APP. More importantly, as Daddy of 3-year old triplets, dishwasher is WORKING again, and Mommy is HAPPY!
