The ice stopped flowing to my Kenmore (106.51264102) and I had to replace the original water valve with this replacement part (#2212374). The original had compression fittings for the tubes, the replacement has the push type fittings. When I reassemble everything and turn the water back on the main feed tube pops off the valve assembly. Questions 1) is the current tube size for the main input 1/4 inch? 2) is the problem too much water pressure?

Answer Hello Dave. You will need to cut the end off the line so it locks into the new valve. It sounds like it is formed from the compression fitting. It needs to be smooth and flat to install properly on the cut.

Ice maker is not making ice, I don't think it's getting water, I get water from the dispenser in the door & the motor turns to dispense the ice,I see the ice striper turn but no ice comes out. Do I need to replace the solenoid valve ,or is there something else that could cause this problem ?

Answer Steve, You will want to check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen then you will need to clear the fill tube and replace the valve. If the fill tube is not frozen then you will want to pull the motor module off the icemaker and check for burn marks on the back of the module. If it is burnt then you will need to replace the module.

Answer Hello Thomas. If there is power to the water valve and no water, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. After afew days with the ice maker turned on and making cubes, we have a frozen water fall down the sides and door of the freezer. The inlet into the ice maker is frozen and the tube. I have defrosted it a number of times, same thing happens. I have considered replacing the complete ice maker but can not find a part number for the assembly only individual parts, do you have one. Could it be the water inlet valve? What else is there?

Hello, Replaced the water valve (W10408180) but it did not come with the customer connect portion of water valve from the original main valve body. This portion is where we screw and connect the copper water supply line to the refrig. Called many parts places and they do not have any idea what I am talking about without a part #. Do you know the part # or what this part is actually called? Even where I could purchase it? Any feedback is definately welcomed!
