Ok, so I just bought a secondary water valve. When I bought my fridge used it was missing. I followed the instructions but when the water flows into the icemaker the water dispensor turns on (still fills the icemaker with water). How can I fix this?

Answer Hi Jared. Since the unit came without a secondary water valve already, double check the wiring (and hoses) to the primary and secondary water valve. The primary water valve part # 12544002 has a outlet tubing with a blue stripe. The primary solenoid valve has a blue coil that feeds the water side. The pri. valve brown coil is to the ice maker. The secondary water valve is part # 12002193. The secondary valve inlet has a yellow stripe tube coming from the filter. The secondary valve has a blue coil that feeds the water dispenser. The secondary valve has a brown coil that feeds the ice maker supply tube. It is the closest one to the mount bracket (in the service manual). You will adapt the hose by cutting (utility knife) the tube so it is cut perfectly square so it will be pushed into the water valve connection to the end. It has internal garter springs to hold the tube in tight. Thank You.
