The washer will fill up with water when the water temperature switch is set to "Warm", but will not fill with any water when set to "Cold". I watched the repair video where one of your technicians replaced the water inlet valve, and this seemed to be identical to the type of repair I need to perform. I believe the problem is stemming from an issue with the solenoid. I just wanted to make sure I was purchasing the correct part prior to placing my order.
Answer Hello Campbell,
You need to first remove the water supply hoses, one at a time so they don't get crossed, and check the screen in the water valve and check for a screen in the hose, (both ends). If no screens are stopped up and voltage is being supplied to the water valve, (cold side), when it is turned on and should be filling with cold water, the water valve will require replacement. If voltage is not being supplied to the valve, the water temperature switch is suspect.
