Water has started leaking from the water tube right where it enters the icemaker at he back of the fridge no holes or defect on tube, wondering is it from the water valve or the ice maker?
The icemaker still makes noice but no ice in the tray.
Answer Arp, Dripping water from the fill tube is usually due to a failing fill valve, so replacing the valve 61005273 will solve that issue. It will probably solve the no fill / ice cubes situation as well. Just remember to "flush" the water supply line and system before you attach the water line to the new fill valve.
How do you install a water valve AP4071381 (61005273)?
Answer Hello Greg. Pull out the unit and disconnect the power. Then turn off the water. Remove the water lines from the old valve. Next remove the screw securing the valve to the cabinet and remove the valve. Unplug the harness going to the valve. Install the new valve in reverse order.
