Regarding Part AP4112820 Continuity Testing. I have taken this water valve out of the machine, as I suspect it is the culprit to the problem. I followed the instructions for testing the valve, using a multimeter, but this is my first time using one and would like verification as to if my part is bad. Here is what I do. Turn the multimeter to the lowest Ohm setting which was 200. Turn the multimeter on and the reading on the display shows a 1 in the left corner. When I touch the prongs together it has a very low reading and the numbers are on the right side of the display. Now I touch each prong to the contacts on the water valve and my reader displays a 1 on the left side of the display, without any change. Since the reader display didnt change at all, I assume that means that the water valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Am I correct with this reading? I have been getting confused reading about multimeters and testing results, as most of them say I should get a reading of 0L, but then I read that all meters can have different open values and I assume my readers open value is 1. Any help on my multimeter reading would be great.
