Getting no water to ice maker and tank. Water is coming out of door. Tank is empty. Made sure nothing is frozen as well. Water coming out of door is not cold. What parts have failed.
Answer Hello Dustin,
If water is coming out of the door, water has to be in the tank since the water is routed through the tank before it gets to the door. You should check the fill tube to the ice maker for an ice clog. If the fill tube is frozen up, the water valves will require replacement 61005627 and 61005626.
Ice maker apparently not working. I have water to the dispenser but no water to the ice maker.
You will want to check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If frozen clear ice out of the tube. You will also need to order a water valve due to seeping if the fill tube is frozen.
The valve and the filter at the bottom of the machine is in, but I am not getting any water coming thru the front for the water dispense. Could it be the lines to the valve and filter are wrong.
Answer Hello Linda,
The water valve lines cannot be hooked up incorrectly since the lines are different sizes. The most likely cause of this issue is the water tank in the bottom of the fresh food section behind the drawers is frozen. You can thaw it out if this is the issue by removing one or both of the drawers and blowing hot air on the water tank with a hair dryer. This will take about 15 minutes to thaw with a hair dryer set to the high temperature. If this thaws it out, the fresh food section temperature is set too warm. I know it sounds backwards, but in order to stir the air by kicking the fans on more often, the fresh food section will have to be set at least a number colder. The freezer section will need to be adjusted to a warmer setting.
