Answer Hello Casey. If water is filling the dishwasher, and the unit is not on, you will need to order and replace the water valve on the unit.

Answer Hello Mick, Check to make sure nothing has gotten under the float making the control think it's full of water. As long as the water hasn't been turned off to the unit, and nothing is holding the float up, it's a safe bet that the water inlet valve 8531670 has failed to open an is in need of replacement.

Answer MJF, the water inlet valve AP3178610 is not suggested for your model. According to your model number the replacement valve is part number W10158389. Thanks!

Answer Hello Doug. Based on the model number, you will remove the toe panel and access the water valve. Unplug the wires going to the valve and turn off the water. Then, remove the water line from the valve and the hose goin to the tub. Remove the screw securing the valve and slide it out of the frame assembly. Install new valve 8531670 in reverse order.

Answer Hello Karen, If the water inlet valve is bad and the unit isn't filling to a proper fill level, this would indeed cause the spray arms to be deprived of the water pressure necessary to spin them and perform a proper wash. The other two things that could cause the issue is a stopped up screen in the pump and motor assembly, or a pump impeller damaged or wrapped in a piece of debris that inadvertently made its' way into the unit.

Answer Hello Rick. The first thing you will need to check is the drain hose on the unit and see if it is clogged. Then check in the sump assembly and make sure it is clear as well. If all is clear in the unit, you will need to order and replace the drain pump 661658 on the unit.
