Our dishwasher is leaking from the upper left hand corner of the door. It seems as if the door doesn't seal correctly as you can hear a difference when you push on that corner. Can you help me?
Answer Hello Amy,
While the door seal 99002588 is probably partially responsible, it sounds like the door line may be warped a bit. You should loosen the screws around the door liner and hold the door level while tightening the screws. This will sometimes help the situation and prevent a new seal from having the same issue.
My dishwasher gets water into the control panel. We think it may be leaking into the area through the vent but not sure. Is there any idea of how to fix this issue. It will get water into the control panel and short it out causing the dishwasher to stop. Once the water is dried out the dishwasher will turn on again.
Answer Rachel, Check and make sure the water is not too hot, the average water temperature in the tub should be 120 - 125 dgrs. F. This will allow the water heating options to operate properly without producing steam. Check and make sure the vent cover in the door is installed properly, the large opening should be pointed down towards the bottom of the door. When you remove the control panel, you'll find a foam gasket on the right side surrounding the vent openings in the panel, check and make sure there is an indentation in the foam where it meets the vent opening, if not add one or two seals 99003222 to the panel, so there's a good tight seal between the panel and the end of the vent outlet. Lastly, check the door liner and outer panel to make sure they are attached to the hinge assembly tightly, and check the inner door liner to see if it is warped or "tweaked" and not sealing properly.
