Appliance: Whirlpool Residential Dryer LE7680XMW0
My Repair & Advice
If your dryer starts making a thumping noise, don't listen to your husband who says its probably bc the belt is slipping. Also, don't listen to your father who says it's fine to keep running it. Because what would have cost you $15 (for a drum roller) and a couple of minutes watching appliancepartspros.com videos 4 months ago will now result in replacing both drum rollers, both axle shafts, the 4 washers (that you didn't order but then have to and wait 4 more days before repair bc the hardware store doesn't carry them) the rear drum seal, an idler pulley, 2 leveling feet, and a tensioner belt. But now you know how to fix a dryer so there's that.
It's now fixed, because of these videos and my refusal to give in and spend $600+ on a new dryer that wouldn't work as well as this "bought-used in 1995, even-though-every-part-has-been-replaced, it-still-hasnt-cost-me-$200 dryer.
Appliancepartspros.com is now the website I will rely on for all my appliance needs. Thanks curly haired, repair video guru for making it so straight forward and easy for a woman and her son (neither of whom knew how to fix stuff) to repair a 30 year old dryer. You rock!
