Answer Lisa, You will want to check the lid switch to make sure that it is good and check the drain pump to make sure that it is not clogged or obstructed. An obstructed drain pump will not allow unit to go into drain or spin.

Answer Kelly, The drive belt is located on the bottom of the machine. Slide the washer out far enough to raise the front feet a few inches off the floor, place a wood block under the front feet, or move the washer far enough out to prop the washer against the wall. The motor is "spring loaded" to maintain pressure on the belt, once you "roll" the belt off of the transmission pulley the belt will fall off the other two, reverse the procedure to install the new belt.

Answer Hello Smith, If you look at the parts explosion on this model you will see that the motor mount is spring loaded. There is no adjustment short of lubricating the motor mount so the motor can freely pivot from one side to the other.

Answer Ray, Yes there is a belt tensioner 22004376 it's mounted on the motor and base assembly on the front of the motor( closest to the transmission) but that's not the likely issue. You most likely have a worn thrust bearing assembly 12002213 and the tolerences are out and will not properly lock and unlock the drive components to drive the tub in a spin cycle.

Answer Hello Bernie, Make sure the bearing is not locked up in the unit. If so, you will need a new transmission. If not, then it could be just a bad belt on the unit.

Answer Hello Tina, If the noise is like a screeching type of noise then you would need to replace the brake 35-6714 and 35-6918 stator. You may also want to check the drain pump to make sure that there is nothing in the pump creating noise and causing slippage of belt.
