Washer doesn't agitate or spin, it does drain the water.,
Depending on the model this sound like it would be caused by a broken motor couple but to properly assist you we will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
First symptom-- washer would not drain completely. However, by changing cycles, etc., washer would eventually empty completely. Finally, it appears belt broke.
The first thing to check is the pump to make sure that there is nothing caught in it and check to make sure that it is spinning freely with no drag. This would most likely be what caused the belt to break if the pump is bad.
Washer will spin but not agitate.
Answer Hello Jeff. If the motor runs, but the transmission does not agitate, you will need to order and replace the transmission 35-6615 in the unit.
