Answer Hello Shug. You will need to take a pair of channel lock pliers and pull it off. If it will not come off and has melted to the motor shaft, you will need to use a hammer and chisel and cut it off. Be careful not to damage the motor shaft. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Domenic, There is a bearing located underneath the thrust pulley but the tension pulley is part of the motor assembly. The motor slides for the tensioning and there is a spring on the motor and motor plate that allows the tension.
