I just replaced the washplate about a month ago. Machine worked fine for a few weeks but we noticed clothes were soaked after cycle. Took the new washplate off and noticed the grooves in the plate are become stripped again. We are not overloading the machine any idea why this would happen so quickly?

When off, I hear a low rumbling sound when I rotate the drum/washplate. This noise is very loud in the spin cycle. The unit operates normally except for the loud spin cycle.

What would make the wash plate come loose. I took it off and the thread appear to be stripped.

Latest Questions

I have a Maytag Bravos washer model # MVWX500XW0. I need to remove the washplate (original part # W10215119). I have removed the cap and the bolt/washer and I should be able to simply lift the washplate up and out, but it is stuck. No amount of pulling will release it. Short of destroying it, I cannot remove the washplate. Any suggestions?
